Duran Lantink is delighted to present his new campaign, entitled DURANIMAL for AW25 Collection. Photographed by Juergen Teller and styled by Jodie Barnes, the Autumn-Winter 2025 campaign stars Alex Consani and Leon Dame.
Shot across staged natural environments and submerged spaces, DURANIMAL interrogates the boundaries between the human and the animal, artifice and instinct, beauty and spectacle.
This statement is describing DURANIMAL as an artwork or project that takes place in carefully constructed environments—both on land and underwater. By using “staged natural environments and submerged spaces,” the work blurs the line between what is real and what is fabricated, showing that even nature can become a kind of set or performance. It suggests a deliberate tension between authenticity and artifice, where natural elements are placed within a controlled, almost theatrical setting.
At its core, the project explores the complex relationship between humans and animals, highlighting both their differences and their shared instincts. It also questions how beauty and spectacle influence our perception of nature—whether we see animals and environments as living beings with their own agency, or as objects of fascination within an aesthetic display. In this way, DURANIMAL pushes viewers to reflect on how art transforms nature into something to be watched, and how this shapes our understanding of the boundaries between instinct, performance, and survival.
