Niù Spring/Summer 2026 / SS26 during Milan Fashion Week entitled Scenes of Malaysia

Niù’s new journey sets out once again from the East, this time exploring Malaysia. A land where nature and modernity coexist in balance, and where encounters between different cultures spark unexpected visions. It is from this imagery that Scenes of Malaysia, the SS26 collection, takes shape: a visual narrative translated into style, turning glimpses of landscapes, everyday rituals, and architectural details into garments to be lived in.

Two places guide the inspiration: Penang and Sarawak, symbols of a fertile duality. On one side, urban vitality: city, color, energy; on the other, the forest: silence, matter, roots. Two souls that meet, like two creative forces completing one another. Niù SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 collection unfolds along a double feminine trajectory: a metropolitan, international figure, connected and aware. And a nomadic, authentic figure, seeking intensity even in leisure. Both embody an idea of femininity that is open, fluid, and undefined.

The palette and materials evoke a delicate, harmonious spring where lightness and research intertwine. Volumes shift between experimentation and comfort through tailored craftsmanship, fluid jerseys, washed silks, seersucker cottons, reworked mats, and embroideries recalling local artisanship. The debut of beachwear introduces pieces designed for a summer without schedules or borders, while handcrafted accessories complete the looks, adding stories to be touched.

The Malaysian aesthetic emerges in tribal patterns, sarong skirts, knotted sashes, and airy, weightless textures. Holding the entire collection together are two recurring elements: the long stitch, embellishing shirting, and grosgrain, appearing as both a structural and decorative detail. Scenes of Malaysia is not just a collection. It is a visual diary to wear. A journey that lingers on the skin.

About Niù, Niù was founded in January 1999 in Udine by siblings Serena and Bruno Cibischino. The very name of the brand, Niù, embodies its philosophy. In Friulian, “Niù” means “nest,” a word that conveys the idea of home, protection, and belonging, but it is also a phonetic transcription of the English word “New.” Niù thus stands for a new way of dressing: innovative yet adaptable, transformable, and personal, a product in which one can recognize oneself. For 25 years, through total look collections of womenswear and accessories, Niù has been telling stories of the world: in its prints, colors, and every detail lies the brand’s nomadic, adventurous spirit, as well as its deep respect for global traditions. Niù offers simple, feminine, and versatile shapes—essential pieces in the wardrobe of a contemporary woman. Today, Niù is distributed in over 650 multibrand stores worldwide.
