Weinsanto Spring/Summer 2026 / SS26 at Paris Fashion Week entitled Les Irrésistibles Favorites
With Les Irrésistibles Favorites, Victor Weinsanto revisits the elegance of figures from the 17th and 18th centuries, from Madame de Pompadour to Madame du Barry. Weinsanto SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 collection is an ode to spirit, charm, charisma, and the Art of Appearance. Drawing inspiration from the paths of courtesans, who moved from the margins of society to the heart of cultural and political life, the show opens with a theatrical tableau led by Allanah Starr and Angèle Micaux, transforming the runway into a true court of intrigue.
Rather than a literal tribute, Weinsanto filters this heritage through a contemporary lens, where refinement and irreverence coexist. The Château du Champ de Bataille inspired the collection. A chair that once belonged to Madame du Barry, adorned with a dove motif, is reinterpreted in devoré jersey with metallic mesh and woven thread inlays. From this emblem, the collection expands to rich fabrics: velvet, taffeta from the house of Le Lièvre, floral damask jacquards, and silks evoking the interiors of Versailles.
Couture pieces define the show’s theatrical aspect, culminating with a dress entirely made of wood, in collaboration with ebenist Amaury Darras and artist Damien Moulierac, a feat of craftsmanship reproducing 18th-century marquetry opening the show. Around these signature pieces, the wardrobe balances structure and sensuality: mini corseted dresses edged with lace, long coats, draped bustier skirts unfolding like rose petals, and lilac floral-printed corsets. Draped coats with godets and transparent floral inlays introduce movement, balancing precision and poetry.
Volumes extend beyond the house’s usual lines, with cascading ruffles, lavallière collars as a nod to Louise de La Vallière, and dramatic layering. Corsetry is omnipresent: rigid, sensual, or playfully draped, paired with transparent coats, sculpted bustiers, and translucent inlays. Accessories complete the narrative: jacquard handbags, a beige reissue of the Nina Bag honoring Madame de Pompadour’s pioneering audacity in adopting the belt bag, and whimsical hats evoking 18th-century fontanges and tricorne styles.
This year marks the fifth anniversary of WEINSANTO, and the Les Irrésistibles Favorites collection transforms fashion into both theater and armor: playful, seductive, irreverent, and resolutely French.
For the very first time, Victor Weinsanto transposes his theatrical couture universe into high jewelry through the co-creation of twenty unique pieces, titled “Lace& Diamond,” crafted in the Swiss workshops of Van Der Bauwede in Geneva. With the support and partnership of L’Oréal Professionnal, Louboutin, Le Lièvre, and Nona Source.
