Viktor&Rolf RTW SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 during Paris Fashion Week
“READY-TO-WEAR IS LIKE A SOUVENIR WE’VE BROUGHT BACK FROM THE WORLD OF HAUTE COUTURE. IT CARRIES OUR SPIRIT AND POETIC POINT OF VIEW JUST AS VIVIDLY.”– Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren
Viktor&Rolf ready-to-wear SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 collection translates the house’s minimal-baroque spirit into sculptural silhouettes. Guided by the house’s Haute Couture laboratory, this season takes inspiration from the Spring/Summer 2025 ‘Couture Prompt’ narrative, with incisions of archival Haute Couture of Spring and Fall 1998. The collection’s bold volumes are framed against the sharp lines of urban architecture, transforming the city into a stage for self-expression. Dresses remain the collection’s centerpiece: deconstructed draped trenchcoat cocktail dresses and gowns stand alongside a range of playful minis. The denim line continues this season, now expanded with the introduction of drapé shorts and pencil skirts, both defined by signature layered waistbands. Shirts appear both as fluid, oversized statements and as sharp tailoring, underscoring the house’s ease-meets-drama approach. Bottoms complete the collection, spanning mini to maxi skirts and tailored trousers, defined by precision and softened by movement.
Volants are everywhere, either cascading from hems or sculpted into peplums, while jabot rufflesand dragged necklines reimagine tailoring with a sense of ease and theatricality. Crushed plissée treatments add a rippling lightness, catching air and shine in equal measure, while triple-layer constructions turn tanks, skirts, and denim into studies of proportion. Deconstructed surreal draped trenchcoats and shirts reimagined into pants, skirts and dresses tie it all together, sometimes playful, sometimes severe, always elevated.
An elegant interplay of classic black and white or beige and cream neutrals anchors the season, counterbalanced by deep navy ink. A masculine olive green gabardine tone lend a grounded richness, while polka-dot organza adds graphic playfulness. Light blue organza and satin lift the palette with a fresh, translucent glow. As ever, fabric choices define Viktor&Rolf ready-to-wear SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 collection’s contrasts. Italian silk organza, Japanese technical gazar, andfluid satin bring translucence and shine, while crisp cotton poplin and silk linen blends and classic tailoring wool anchor silhouettes with precision. Denim brings ease and practicality to the season’s elegance.
Ready-to-wear becomes a “souvenir of Haute Couture”, carrying Viktor&Rolf’s poetic vision into romantic contrasts designed for expressive lifestyles. Artful statements to be worn from day to night, bringing wonder back to the everyday. Viktor&Rolf ready-to-wear SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 collection features a total of more than 100 styles, including Viktor&Rolf’s signature dresses, denim, shirt and bottoms.
