Uma Wang SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 collection is a reaction to the one that came right before. The bows are now untied, the waist is liberated, hips and backs are deflated, shoulders are almost natural, elongation is still there. The silhouette is a cascade of lines; everything twists, turns, bends, drapes around the body. An exploration of fluidity, with just a hint of structure to keep it all together. Tailoring and liquidity, looking at the Virtues that populate the Loggia di David in Palazzo Te, Mantua: aged statues featuring magnificent marble drapings, some veiling the faces. An inquiry into fabric that falls down, stiffness and fluidity. Colors of aged marble, and cravatteria motifs as a rhythmic counterpoint. An uninterrupted flow, which change will wipe away soon, or never.
About Uma Wang, Chinese name is Wang Zhi. She trained at the Dong Hua University in Shanghai and Central Saint Martins in London. Since the establishment of the personal brand in 2009, she has gained an international reputation for her unique understanding of fabrics, exquisite tailoring, and balancing sophistication with timeless aesthetics.
