Alexander McQueen Pre-Spring 2026 / Resort 2026 Collection entitled Eltham Palace
The life of the party — heritage submitting to a new hedonism. Reprieve from the city with a secluded escape, youth seeking stately abandon. Their irreverence entwined with refinement, wearing washed denim and narrow tailoring with cummerbund waistbands. An evocation of ‘The Last Hurrah’ by Dafydd Jones. Simmering tensions between rebellion and romanticism. Shattered chandelier embroideries on black silk and sharp suited formality, cut close to the body. The polished metal T-Bar clashed with black tie tailoring, invoking the precision of Savile Row.
Subversion transforms tradition. Archival MacQueen tartan and gossamer florals are re-engineered, giving way to modernism in nature. Free flowing, layered and draped. The Manta bag of Spring Summer 2010 is reimagined. Supple, sharp with an adjustable geometry. British outerwear weathers a return to the urbane. Waxed cotton country jackets, gabardine car coats and black sculpted leather — cinched and deconstructed, with a definitively McQueen silhouette. A uniform for revelry unbound from tradition.

ACCESSORIES, The Manta, a reimagining of the McQueen De Manta, introduced in Spring Summer 2010. Soft, sculptural leather with an angular folded form. Accessorised with character bag charms.
SHOES, The Skull pumps, a razor-sharp silhouette exemplifying the house’s precision, featuring a metal heel skull charm, and the equestrian Countryside boots with zip and buckle details.
JEWELLERY, Signature McQueen juxtapositions with scintillating, fringed cut crystal Chandelier jewellery and Skull and Pearl jewellery featuring the skull motif.
FABRICS, Wool tailoring and corsetry: heritage wools woven in British mills. Black wool grain de poudre, black wool mohair with satin double lapel and satin waistband, engineered floral printed wool gabardine, grey melange wool felt coating, grey flecked Glen check wool tailoring. Silk: gesso silk georgette ruffles, McQueen skull printed silk twill foulards, ivory spiderweb floral printed silk chiffon, oxblood and fire red McQueen skull print silk chiffon halter with skull embroidery. Cotton: ivory cotton poplin, gesso cotton poplin, olive and khaki endurance waxed cotton outerwear, camel cotton endurance gabardine outerwear.
