Lanvin Autumn 2026 / Pre-Fall 2026 at Paris Fashion entitled A quest for beauty
The Lanvin Autumn 2026 collection is rooted in a singular moment in Jeanne’s life: a voyage to Venice she took with her niece Marianne in the 1920s. A century later, Copping retraces that journey on his own terms, returning to Venice and visiting places Jeanne once explored. His research reaffirmed a truth: Jeanne Lanvin was guided by an innate curiosity and a rare ability to perceive beauty in the everyday, discovering the world on her own terms, a remarkably free and cosmopolitan spirit for a woman of her time.
Lanvin Pre-Fall / Autumn 2026 cements Lanvin’s status as a Maison in constant quest for beauty in every moment of life. Wherever she’s from and wherever she goes, the Lanvin woman naturally distills the remarkable into her lifestyle, wearing Lanvin as effortlessly from her morning’s first errands to her occasional evening engagements. Copping’s artistry is revealed in the finesse and details of every garment, shaping a believable, uber chic silhouette.
Gestures shift between the Maison’s famed flou twist and a sense of sculptural protection. Collars rise into architectural lines; knitwear in compact cashmere and blanket skirts meet textured coats that envelop the body like a modern armor; evening pieces shimmer with heat-set embellishments that reinterpret traditional embroidery. Tops, dresses, and second-skin jerseys carry Murano-inspired prints recalling the shimmering glass workshops Jeanne once visited. The palette moves through nuanced shades of grey, punctuated by vivid rubis and Venetian reds. Subtle touches of the new Lanvin Blue — unveiled earlier this year — appear quietly in linings and accessory insoles as a discreet signature.
Lanvin Pre-Fall / Autumn 2026 introduces a new generation of the Compagnon bag, first unveiled in Copping’s debut collection and now returning in three sizes and a spectrum of materials — from croc embossed to glossy lacquered leather. The Midnight Step mule is also reimagined, now in a day version featuring a wooden interpretation of its sculptural heel.
This fourth Lanvin collection by Copping is documented by duo Chaumont–Zaerpour. Dramatic lighting and the moody tension inspired by 1930s studio photography from our archives are set in contrast with the autumnal charm of Paris’ Parc Monceau. Presented as a women’s-only collection, Pre-Fall / Autumn 2026 reveals a wardrobe rooted in Lanvin’s Chic Ultime. Next year, the house will celebrate one hundred years of menswear for the Maison.
