Designed by Eli Russell Linnetz in Venice Beach, ERL is proud to present its latest made in California collection, “Rancher”. For generations, the American West has lived in the collective imagination—a frontier of endless horizons and rugged individualism. The Rancher stands as an enduring archetype: weathered by sun and wind, dressed in the uniform of hard work and open land. Denim faded by dust, sherpa collars against cold desert nights — poetry of function becoming form.

ERL rancher reimagines this mythology through a California lens—where the cowboy spirit meets coastal consciousness. Aged indigo and faded browns echo the patina of time spent under vast skies, weathered twills and sun-bleached fleece carry the memory of countless sunsets over endless terrain.

Through meticulous hand-aging and proprietary wash processes, ERL transforms raw denim into lived-in armor. Aged indigo jean jackets feature flannel plaid linings—a nod to the layering rituals of ranch life. Faded brown denim jackets are collared with natural sherpa, offering warmth against the elements. Relaxed denim jeans in both indigo and brown bear the authentic wear of work and wandering. A chocolate sherpa slit neck pullover provides rugged comfort, while weathered khaki chinos and sun-faded brown crewnecks complete the contemporary rancher’s wardrobe.

ERL honors the legacy of American quilting with a new line of artisanal hand-made patchwork quilts. Crafted from fabrics drawn from Eli’s personal archive, these one-of-a-kind quilted panels are patchworked onto ERL’s signature boardwalk corduroy pants transforming functional garments into wearable archives of textile history.

Every piece carries the ERL signature—hand-stamped branding, contrast topstitching, and the imperfections that make each garment unrepeatable. Made in California, down to the fabric and thread, this collection honors the spirit of the west while remaining rooted in Venice Beach craftsmanship.
