Intervention Support with Reference Studios announces the fifth edition

Berlin, Jan 23rd 2026, Reference Studios announces the fifth edition of INTERVENTION, the fashion and culture platform conceived and curated by Reference founder Mumi Haiati.

Taking place on February 2 during Berlin Fashion Week, INTERVENTION V unfolds as a one-day festival program of runway shows, talks, and listening formats, staged across Kraftwerk Berlin. Once a power station, Kraftwerk now operates as a transdisciplinary site for music, fashion, and contemporary culture, forming the architectural and sonic backbone of the program.

INTERVENTION V opens with the inaugural collaboration between Reference Studios and TED, the global platform for cultural dialogue. Held at GLOBUS within Kraftwerk, the salon-scale conversations mark the first time the platform brings fashion and design into its program.

Alongside the main program, a four-day experiential pop-up operates from January 30 to February 2 at Potsdamer Straße 100. Conceived and presented by LIVE FROM EARTH, the Doofer Street Market operates as an expanded cultural site blurring exhibition, gathering, and performance, and extends INTERVENTION into the city as an open encounter with contemporary scenes.

Runway programming unfolds throughout February 2 across Kraftwerk’s ground and first floors, with shows by BUZIGAHILL, Kenneth Ize, Dagger, John Lawrence Sullivan, and GmbH. Presented in sequence, the program offers a cross-section of contemporary fashion practice, foregroundingindependent positions, global perspectives, and distinct formal languages.

From 12:00 to 20:00, GLOBUS hosts a Listening Lounge curated by LIVE FROM EARTH. Drawing together artists and selectors from Berlin’s music ecosystem, the program situates sound as an interface operating in parallel with the runway to trace how global music movements, local scenes, and fashion circulate.

“INTERVENTION is about creating proximity – between disciplines, geographies and cultures that are rarely placed in conversation,” says Mumi Haiati. “It reflects how culture actually moves today: flu interconnected and shaped by globalism rather than geography. Our focus is on amplifying voices and creative realities beyond the established European capitals, and recognizing the cultural value already being produced across different parts of the world.

INTERVENTION is supported by the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises as part of the official Berlin Fashion Week calendar.
