Roger Vivier Spring/Summer 2026 during Paris Couture Week

Roger Vivier Spring/Summer 2026 / SS26 during Paris Couture Week entitled ATELIER ANIMALIER – PIÈCE UNIQUE COLLECTION.

Paris, Tuesday 27 January 2026 — During Paris Haute Couture Week, Roger Vivier presents Atelier Animalier, a SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 Pièce Unique collection unveiled at Maison Vivier. Conceived under the creative direction of Gherardo Felloni, the new collection brings together archives, craftsmanship and contemporary creation in a single cultural moment, alongside the presentation of the new monograph Roger Vivier: Heritage and Imagination, published by Rizzoli.

Atelier Animalier is an exploration of animalier as a historical code of the Maison, not as decoration, but as a language. A language rooted in instinct, movement and sensuality, and deeply tied to the vision of Monsieur Vivier, who from the 1960s onward used animalier motifs to express power, elegance and transformation. Drawing directly from the Roger Vivier archives, Gherardo Felloni reinterprets leopard, zebra and giraffe motifs originally developed in the 1960s. Removed from their original context and showcased today, these familiar codes take on new meaning. What was once radical becomes contemporary again; what is known appears renewed.

This shift of environment, from archive to pièce unique, is central. Under Felloni’s eye, animalier is an active attitude, shaped by today’s cultural sensibility and by the Maison’s enduring savoir-faire. The Atelier Animalier Pièce Unique collection comprises 11 one-of-a-kind Efflorescence Jewel bags. Each piece is conceived as a singular work, handmade in the Roger Vivier ateliers. The Efflorescence Jewel bag, a signature of the Maison, becomes a sculptural canvas for experimentation, elevated through exceptional embroidery, feather work, metal applications, crystals, semi-precious stones and hand-painted surfaces. The gilets extend the same vocabulary into silhouette, translating the Maison’s codes into precious garments with a couture sensibility.

Materials are combined for contrast and rhythm: satin bases enriched with dense embroidery, plumage applied with architectural precision, stones selected to amplify colour and depth. Green, blue and pink, tones intrinsic to the Vivier palette, reframe animalier patterns with confidence and joie de vivre, reinforcing their modernity. Each Pièce Unique is designed beyond seasonal logic: objects of transmission, conceived to endure, adapt and remain relevant over time.

The unveiling of Atelier Animalier takes place within Gherardo Felloni’s studio at Maison Vivier, emphasizing the intimate relationship between research and creation. Roger Vivier SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 presentation unfolds as a journey through the Maison: Guests first enter the Salon de l’Héritage, where the exhibition dedicated to Roger Vivier: Heritage and Imagination define the historical and intellectual framework.

They then move to the Salon Roger Vivier, where Global Brand Ambassador Ines de la Fressange and book curator Elizabeth Semmelhack engage in conversation. The journey culminates in Felloni’s studio, where the Pièce Unique collection is revealed.

Book, exhibition and collection are conceived as chapters of the same narrative. Opening the archives is not an act of retrospection, but one of cultural continuity: a way of showing how Maison’s codes remain alive when interpreted through the present. With Atelier Animalier, Roger Vivier affirms its position as a Parisian Maison where heritage is not preserved as a static memory but activated through creation. Animalier, once audacious, now reimagined, become an expression of confidence, elegance and freedom. A code that evolves, transforms, and continues to speak to today.
