WEILL Fall/Winter 2026 / FW26 during Paris Couture Week entitled “New Wave”
“Weill is an entrepreneurial adventure, but also an emotional one. It’s a business driven by passion” Elie Weill. Weill is the extraordinary story of a French fashion house founded in 1892 by Albert Weill, and now run by his great-great-grandson. For over a century, each generation of Weills has passed on the passion for the craft and shaped the Parisian woman’s wardrobe.
Weill is also a French success story, which began in a neighborhood workshop making women’s clothing before becoming the thriving Albert Weill Jeunes et Fils (Albert Weill Young and Sons) manufacturing company. In 1950, Jean-Claude Weill, the founder’s grandson, discovered the innovative concept of ready-to-wear in the United States, a concept still non-existent in France. Back in Paris, this visionary entrepreneur created Weill, one of the first ready-to-wear brands, and entrusted its image to Publicist, who invented the Calèche logo and the iconic slogan “Madame, a Weill garment suits you.” From advertising to factories and distribution, Weill revolutionized the economic model of French fashion, while maintaining a strong industrial culture and exacting craftsmanship.
Under the leadership of Elie Weill, the fifth generation of the family, the company began a new chapter in its history by updating French style for all women. This wearable couture draws on a historical expertise in tailoring, jackets, blazers, and other lady jackets that enrich the wardrobe of the modern Parisian woman. Without compromise, the brand is committed to offering the highest quality materials, sourced from France and Italy and produced in the luxury sector. These include craft-inspired tweeds, exquisitely hand-knitted wool crepes, and premium denim.
For Weill FW26 / Fall/Winter 2026, the Nouvelle Vague collection offers a fresh perspective on this modern, feminine wardrobe, inspired by the idealized Paris of the 1960s and 70s. A freedom of style combined with beautiful, durable, and desirable garments creates an authentic attitude.
At the heart of the season is the tweed jacket, an iconic Weill piece since the 1950s, showcasing the house’s expertise: textured fabrics, chain-reinforced hems for structure, perfectly tailored narrow shoulders, and clean lines. A classic of French fashion, it can be styled with leather trousers or jeans to fully embrace its modernity. In a distinctly New Wave androgynous spirit, impeccably tailored suits and sublime coats mingle with sailor pants and embroidered T-shirts, stylish jeans and oversized blouses, Jean Sebergesque denim trench coats, men’s poplin shirts, and playfully glamorous cocktail dresses. The brown and beige palette evokes feminine luxury, while pastels, true to Weill’s tradition, embody a casual and effortless elegance.
This season, the FW26 / Fall/Winter 2026, Weill also unveils the W capsule collection of wool coats, conceived as a manifesto of craftsmanship. With precise proportions and meticulous attention to detail, these pieces, inspired by the house’s archives, assert a strong and contemporary allure. New chapter, New Wave: more than ever, Weill suits you.
