Ao Miyasaka presents a body of work rooted in her childhood experiences of drawing graffiti alone on the walls of public housing in Matsumoto City, shaping her belief that art has no meaning unless it reaches the heart. Guided by this philosophy, she creates emotive textile works rooted in a direct connection with people, personally visiting all textile and jewelry production sites and engaging closely with artisans and collaborators involved in the process. Through textile art, Miyasaka explores emotional transformation, dialogue with the viewer, and new possibilities for contemporary expression of Japanese culture.
