Alberto Zambelli Fall/Winter 2026 / FW26 during Milan Fashion Week
With his maximalist minimalism, Zambelli produces a perspectives’ fusion and creates multi-sensorial connections between stimuli. For Alberto Zambelli FW26 / Fall/Winter 2026 draws a collection descending in a condition of sensorial perceptuality, an experience that involves a sense, which automatically demands another one.
At times, sounds may turn into shapes as well as scents may become colors, and lights and shadows fabrics’ wefts. Every garment springs forth from temporal suggestions in the aura of the here and now. places and words become signs, attitude, movement, figures’ theories, drapery, space. Geometry sustains the shapes, a constructive path, a fluid reticulus that conceals inside a stiffer core.
Details of Alberto Zambelli FW26 / Fall/Winter 2026, a geometry inside a geometry where the garments’ proportions are scanned by perspectives and symmetries. Like a mirror that infinitely replicates its reflection, like doors open towards other rooms, that glimpse over other rooms. A cut of a sun-touched window. The light; alive, plain, absorbed, floods the inside spaces and fixes them in magical density-soaked shots. The rigorous spacings transforms the collection’s neutral base colors like yeast, mauve, and carmic greys, into meditative objects. Where the tones are softened and tempered, while some exhuberant glimpse of ocher and fuchsia lighten up the chromatic weavings.
The material experimentation ranges from padded iromuji silks that wraps in sinuous volumes, while archaic linens are deconstructed to create samurai-like tunics. The raw-edged cloth takes shape in oversized coats and robes, macro capes and balloon trousers. The minimalist aesthetic developed from menswear’s grisailles turns maximalist in decorative gobelins. The pink-mauve nappa leather and caramel-toned shearlings exhalts a sensuality. Winding wool-cashemires in destructured garments dialogue with naturally fluid silks freeing the lines as if in a dance.
