Gaia Segattini Knotwear/Springa Collaboration. No two pair are alike.

The collaboration between Springa and Gaia Segattini Knotwear is rooted in a shared vision: excellence in Italian manufacturing, conscious resource recovery and a creative approach to the product. Springa is the only Italian brand specialising in autoclave-vulcanised sneakers, and its production process is based on experimentation, upcycling and limited edition collaborations. Gaia Segattini Knotwear is a pop knitwear brand and benefit corporation with production in the Marche region. The company works exclusively with surplus yarns, making each creation unique and unrepeatable by nature.

Gaia Segattini Knotwear & Springa collaboration has led to the creation of a unique product: a vulcanised knit sneaker, the first of its kind, combining manufacturing expertise, sustainability and a strong expressive personality. The sole is handmade from natural rubber and vulcanised in an autoclave in Puglia using Springa’s exclusive process, while the upper is made from regenerated cotton fabric sourced from production waste from the Marche region. Gaia Segattini Knotwear; the heel strap is crocheted and the double lace, an iconic element of the footwear brand, is sourced from production leftovers.

The packaging also reflects the philosophy of the collaboration: a box designed to last, laser-cut from double cardboard and natural wood, produced in the Marche region and decorated with Gaia Segattini Knotwear’s institutional optical pattern. The detachable side pompom is a playful addition that reflects the brand’s playful spirit. The product combines recycling, Italian craftsmanship and pop expressiveness to redefine the concept of the contemporary sneaker.
