Vaquera Fall/Winter 2026 / FW26 at Paris Fashion Week
The Fall/Winter 2026 collection by Vaquera marks a powerful moment of transformation for the brand, embracing the idea that identity and style are never fixed. Titled with a sense of emotional duality—“Hold on tightly, let go lightly”—the collection explores the tension between perfection and chaos. It reflects a fractured present where stability feels uncertain, yet beauty emerges from disruption. Through exaggerated silhouettes, distorted archetypes, and confrontational styling, Vaquera questions whether one can be both unhinged and complete at once.
Vaquera FW26 / Fall/Winter 2026 collection introduces a cast of characters that feel both familiar and distorted: drab mods, twisted “ladies who lunch,” and abstracted leather figures. Bridal references appear early, with pillbox hats and structured dresses reimagined through a subversive lens. Traditional femininity is reshaped through hooded capes, suspender underwear, and plume mask hats, blending modesty with provocation. The repetition of gogo pumps and boots grounds the looks in a retro-futuristic aesthetic, while unusual pairings—such as sunglasses bras and underwear trousers—challenge conventional ideas of dressing and exposure.
Material experimentation plays a central role throughout the collection. Neoprene jackets, melton hot shorts, corduroy bomber jackets, leather zipper dresses, and feathered ensembles create dynamic contrasts between softness and structure. Boxy peacoats and shrunken blazers reinterpret classic tailoring, while tutu skirts, bow dresses, and belted silhouettes add theatrical volume. Accessories such as coin purses, fringe bags, XL aviator sunglasses, and various mask hats intensify the dramatic narrative, suggesting protection, disguise, and performance as recurring themes.
A significant highlight of Vaquera FW26 is the continuation of Vaquera’s collaboration with Converse. Building on the momentum of the XXXHI and XHI Slouch Wedge designs, the new heel extends the dialogue between the two brands, reshaping a familiar sneaker form through exaggerated scale and unconventional construction. This partnership reinforces the collection’s broader message: transformation is constant, and even the most recognizable forms can be reimagined. Ultimately, FW26 presents clothing not as a fixed vision of the future, but as an evolving reflection of who we are in an unstable yet creatively fertile present.
