Ortigia is a small island that serves as the historic center of the city of Siracusa in Sicily, Italy. It is renowned for its Baroque architecture, narrow cobblestone streets, and ancient Greco-Roman sites. The island captivates with its sea views, the cathedral in Piazza Duomo, and the Fountain of Aretusa. Pucci reflected and immersed its in that history to present a summer collection synonymous with lightness and sheerness, revealing skin, which would become an aesthetic for SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026.

Has the night ended, or has the morning just begun? In that liminal time of day when the sun begins to rise from the horizon, we encounter the latest Pucci collection: L’Alba. Energetic yet serene; intoxicating and luminous each dawn Invites hope, vitality and the chance to see the world with a new outlook. Here, within the Grotta dei Cordari, light reflects off the monumental stone formations once quarried by the ancient Greeks, and later, a haven for rope-making artisans to create a distinctly Sicilian setting where Camille Miceli’s vision comes to life.

Here, the expression of joy through travel across time and destinations and imagining a woman whose memories from Ibiza are revived with prints that pulse like the music of the clubs. There is an airiness, a sexiness; an open back framed by a printed ribbon trailing in the breeze, a slit up the leg of a sheath outlined with colour, bold 1960s-inspired jewellery. Blazing orange, red and vivid fuchsia swirl through black in the Occhi, Soleil and Vivara motifs evoking sun and fire as positive and poetic. Shades of sand and blue from the beach carry into her every day. Saturated pink fades, as though baked by the sun.

Her loose, webby knits in beige and black give a bohemian vibe, while a tailored jacket and fishnet skirt embroidered with sequins lean towards city dressing. There are fluid, semi-transparent jersey lurex pieces in gold-on-gold print that channel the glamour of Scarface, and silk foulards interpreted as dresses, tops and skirts that create spontaneous yet sophisticated silhouettes. Tactile textures are ever-present, from pieces embroidered with gold on black to paillettes that shimmer like the sea in the moonlight.

She wears gladiator sandals stretching high up her sun-kissed legs or summery flats covered with jewels that radiate light. Her belts are big; in leather and metal, they anchor the silhouette. Jewellery deconstructed from the shapes of the prints adorns her body as multi-pendant necklaces. She adds the Warrior Ring, elongated in form, alongside a print-inspired ring, centred around a red stone, defined by an elastic construction that allows it to move from fingers to toes. She carries Pupa, a leather bag with the organic form of a sculpted object, or a wicker basket topped with silk.

Amidst the transportive soundtrack familiar from raves and beach parties she experiences the deep pleasure of escape alongside the conviction that optimism can be both a state of being and of dressing, too.
