Stone Island Unveils No Seasons At Milan Design Week 2026

Stone Island Unveils No Seasons At Milan Design Week 2026 open to the public April 20th to 26th at Capsule Plaza, Via Achille Maiocchi 8, Milan

On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2026, Stone Island is proud to unveil the next chapter of NO SEASONS, taking forward an original project by Massimo Osti, first introduced in 1989 until 1994. This capsule draws from Stone Island’s timelessness by shaping new outerwear archetypes through a process concerned with continuation and evolution, rooted in history but forward-looking in design.

Presented for the first time, the NO SEASONS capsule dictates the codes of the dedicated installation conceived in collaboration with Milan-based interior studio NM3. The project exists as part of the wider context of Capsule Plaza, a hybrid space between a fair and a collective exhibition, internationally renowned for its deep connections to the design world, and creativity at large.

Set within a disused swimming pool, the space is defined by a suspended 4×8 metre LED wall acting as a technological ceiling, projecting dedicated visuals by 700×100®. The site-specific film traces the journey of a Stone Island garment from the Ravarino HQ – the brand’s centre of research and development – to contemporary urban life, unfolding as a single continuous arc. Research, engineering and design converge around the concept of No Season, creating a garment beyond time, adaptable across contexts and conditions. Through advanced generative technologies grounded in real-world fidelity, reality is amplified and refined, expressing the brand’s rigor at a higher resolution.

Positioned at the centre are four powder-coated steel seating structures, upholstered in the Stone Island NO SEASONS fabrics. Arranged on a raised level along the former pool’s tiers, a system of black metal vitrines displays the corresponding NO SEASONS outerwear pieces, forming the core of the installation.

Developed through NM3’s dry-assembly approach, combining laser cutting and bending, exhibited elements emphasise precision, modularity, and material consistency, translating the brand language into a spatial dimension. Positioned laterally to the seating, the sound system contributes to the spatial composition as much as to the acoustic experience.

Sound is delivered through the Friendly Pressure: Studio One system, originally unveiled at Milan Design Week 2025 and reissued for 2026 with a patinated metal horn and faceplate, while retuned for enhanced clarity and emotional depth. Designed by Friendly Pressure in collaboration with London sound engineer Bosco Taylor, the system and its Unity Horn technology enable multiple frequencies to converge into a single coherent source, ensuring an emotional sound experience that remains both precise and immersive.

The project will come alongside a week-long cultural program encompassing a live music performance, DJ sets, and conversations in collaboration with Lyst and NM3. The Stone Island installation will be unveiled on April 20th, 2026, until April 26th.

INSTALLATION: PRODUCT: STONE ISLAND NO SEASONS, SPACE DESIGN: NM3, LOCATION: @CAPSULE PLAZA, VIA ACHILLE MAIOCCHI 8, MILAN, VIDEO ARTWORK: 700×100®, SOUND SYSTEM: FRIENDLY PRESSURE, SPACE DESIGN BY NM3.

PRODUCT: Atemporal by nature, the new iteration of NO SEASONS revolves around a single outerwear style realized in six iconic fabrications: Tela Resinata, Nylon Prismatico-TC, Raso Gommato, David-TC, Crinkle Reps NY, and Panno. To keep the focus on materials and construction, all six fabric variations of the garment are dyed the piombo colour, allowing each material to dictate the precise tone and hue. Each fabrication provides a distinct version of the same model, while reflecting Stone Island’s ongoing commitment to material science.

In their contemporary update, the six jackets present a three-dimensional hood with tape drawstring, an articulated central panel, two chest pockets with concealed zippers, two side pockets, and adjustable cuffs with snaps. Engineered for continuous wear, NO SEASONS pieces are calibrated through fabric innovation, construction discipline and functional clarity, standing collectively as a permanent reference that aligns living knowledge with present purpose and advances the dialogue between convention and experimentation at the core of Stone Island.
