Rabanne Celebrates 60 Years With a Flamenco-Inspired Andalusian Campaign
To mark its 60th anniversary, Rabanne has unveiled The Pulse, a new campaign inspired by the atmosphere, emotion, and cultural energy of Southern Spain. Moving away from the vibrant release of Rio featured in previous chapters, the latest campaign shifts its focus to Andalucía, where tension, rhythm, and intimacy take center stage.
between the traditions of Semana Santa and the Feria season, The Pulse explores the emotional intensity of Andalusian nights through flamenco, movement, and collective experience. The campaign reflects the house founder Paco Rabanne’s long-standing fascination with the body in motion — a vision that has shaped the brand since its earliest metal designs and futuristic silhouettes.
At the heart of the Rabanne campaign is flamenco, portrayed not as a performance spectacle, but as a living cultural expression carried by a new generation of Andalusian artists. Dancer Carmen Avilés appears alongside members of the Farruquito lineage, bringing together heritage and contemporary energy. Music by Yerai Cortés further amplifies the campaign’s emotional rhythm, building moments of tension before release.
Directed by Emmanuel Cossu, also known as Manu, the visuals blend cinematic storytelling with raw physicality. Known for his work with Nike, Apple, and Adidas, Cossu brings an immersive and emotionally charged perspective to the campaign. His approach captures what he describes as “duende” — the emotional depth and soul often associated with flamenco culture. The campaign’s imagery was photographed by Aitor Laspiur, whose work focuses on intimacy, tradition, and everyday rituals. Through minimalist yet poetic visuals, Laspiur presents Andalucía as both grounded and cinematic, emphasizing human connection and shared emotion rather than spectacle.
The story eventually arrives in El Rocío, one of Spain’s most symbolic spiritual destinations, where the campaign shifts from personal preparation to collective experience. In this setting, The Pulse presents fashion and beauty as extensions of movement, rhythm, and presence. More than a seasonal campaign, The Pulse reflects Rabanne’s ongoing exploration of culture, identity, and artistic expression — combining fashion, music, and tradition into a cinematic celebration of the brand’s Spanish roots.
