Meta Campania Collective Spring/Summer 2027 / SS27 at Paris Fashion Week
For Spring/Summer 2027, Meta Campania Collective presents ‘Mohn’. Photographed along the Normandy coastline, the collection draws inspiration from a landscape closely connected to Creative Director Jon Strassburg’s family history. Coastal light, expansive skies and a sense of freedom inform a wardrobe built on ease, nonchalance and uncompromising craftsmanship.
At the centre of Meta Campania Collective SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 collection is the idea of the artist’s uniform: a wardrobe built around ease, individuality and self-expression. Pieces move effortlessly between moments, occasions and identities, encouraging a personal approach to dressing rather than prescribed ways of wearing clothes.
Menswear and womenswear continue to share a common language. Unconstructed tailoring, softened workwear jackets, fluid outerwear and relaxed silhouettes form the foundation of Meta Campania Collective SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 collection. References to utility dressing, chore jackets and protective garments remain present throughout, but are stripped of their rigidity and reimagined through fluid silhouettes, washed textures and unexpected proportions. Utility jackets, flight-inspired outerwear and protective layers coexist with weightless dresses, feathered details and sculptural volumes that move with the body and the wind. Asymmetric tops and dresses, sculptural balloon skirts, elongated silhouettes and relaxed separates create a sense of effortless fluidity. Familiar garments are subtly displaced and reimagined, balancing structure with freedom and precision with ease. The palette emerges directly from the landscape: chalk white, weathered stone, soft sand, sea-washed blues and seafoam mint, recalling shifting tides, coastal light and open skies. Throughout the collection, the poppy appears as a recurring motif, introducing moments of vivid red against a sun-bleached horizon.
Fabrication remains central to the collection’s identity. Garment-dyed silks, printed silks, silk-cashmere and silk-cotton blends create lightness and movement. Silk jacquards, washed cottons and supple leathers add depth and character. Signature leather biker jackets are softened through styling and proportion, while ostrich feathers introduce unexpected gestures of movement and flight. Leopard prints and nautical stripes punctuate the collection with moments of confidence and individuality. Accessories further develop the narrative. Oversized carryalls, beach bags and cotton-knit ballerinas accompany a wardrobe designed around movement, travel and everyday life.
Photographed by Stanislas Motz-Neidhart against the chalk cliffs, beaches and expansive skies of Normandy, ‘Mohn’ captures a collection where utility gives way to ease, structure softens and personal style takes precedence over convention. With ‘Mohn’, Meta Campania Collective proposes a wardrobe of nonchalant confidence: personal, uncompromising and effortlessly lived in.
