Aiayu Fall/Winter 2026 / FW26 at Copenhagen Fashion Week
Aiayu FW26 / Fall/Winter 2026 show explores the space between individuality and togetherness. Titled ‘between one and many’, the show reflects the brand’s belief in the strength of standing alone while moving together – forming a larger, shared narrative. In the historic Charlottenborg building, the show unfolds as a choreography by Breckyn Dávila Drescher that floats through a harmonious set design: a living formation of models, each styled in natural gradient tones that soften into one another and become one palette. From soft whites into deeper, grounding nuances of navy, brown, and black. Individually, each model carries their own presence. Together, they form a rhythm of repetition, variation, and change – between the one and the many.
As a formation of models enter, separate, and return, garments evolve through layering, movement and nuances. Familiar pieces reappear in new combinations, showing how Maria Høgh Heilmann approaches her designs; not as separate collections, but a continuum, each season blending into the next. Aiayu FW26 / Fall/Winter 2026 collection presents a calm and considered wardrobe defined by material integrity, craftsmanship, and enduring silhouettes, brought together by the stories held within every material, tactility, and texture. Silhouettes move between refined tailoring, softened workwear, textured knitwear, and specialised outerwear. The palette is drawn from nature’s own hues framing recycled silks, fine wools, denim, and softened knitwear. Undyed ecru, whites and dove mouliné with soft blue undertones bring a gentle clarity, while dusty rose adds warmth. Blue tones define the collection, from classic navy to washed French blue, set against natural hues of warm khaki, bark, and cognac. As the palette deepens into nuances of brown, dark roots and black, it settles into a grounded harmony. Throughout, details and textures form sculptural layers and considered proportions, shaping pieces designed to evolve over time, balancing feminine elegance with everyday durability.
“With aiayu’s second show, it felt important to me that what we present truly reflects how we work and what we believe in. I am deeply inspired by nature – by its materials, its colours, and the natural wisdom within them. The collection and the show are shaped by the relationship between individuality and togetherness: how many different layers of materials, stories, and hands can come together to create something meaningful. In many ways, this show feels like a reflection of our garments themselves – formed by the purest fibres, their origins, and the craftsmanship and heritage carried within them.”– Maria Høgh Heilmann, Founder and Creative Director
Echoing the elegance of the historic surroundings, the sound design is composed by Mads Bergland, built from layered cello compositions that gradually expand into a larger universe – reflecting both the choreography, the collection, and the colours.
Aiayu FW26 / Fall/Winter 2026 Collection key styles, In the formation of black nuances, elegance appears in recycled silk through a co-ord of a feminine shirt paired with an A-line skirt and fluid trousers, alongside a heavy, trench-inspired coat crafted from densely woven loden Steiner wool. The blue/navy transformation reflects the brand’s enduring love of all shades of blue. These tones define the collection – nuances that reflect aiayu’s heart in craftsmanship, weaving, and fibre depth. The silhouettes are no exception: authentically garment-washed pieces that feel nothing short of true workwear classics. Denim also takes focus within this formation, building on the category as the season introduces new silhouettes in a worn rinse. A new hunter-inspired piece appears in checked oilskin, while cashmere remains an enduring classic. A new dove-mouliné nuance introduces a gentle brightness through its soft blue undertone. Italian-woven paisley jacquard pieces stand as the collection’s most artistic expressions. A collarless shirt with a softly draping scarf is paired with fluid, refined trousers.
Within the formation of earthy tones, a perfectly little jacket appears in felted merino with knitted edges and a Japanese-inspired collar. Corduroy trousers in a boxy, pleated silhouette bring novelty to a nostalgic classic, while cable knitwear in llama wool remains feminine and pure in expression. Tailored pieces are found across all formations, but silhouettes in fine wool and the pinstriped co-ord stand out as classic, timeless statements. A more everyday tailored trouser appears across all nuances within the formations. In the white transformation, a signature scarf in light cashmere adds a soft, almost cloudy layer to the styling – woven on handlooms at a local workshop in Nepal, revived since its introduction in 2016, and appearing as a key styling piece across all formations in natural hues. An undyed highland wool cardigan, featuring a feminine fisherman-inspired structure, adds a sense of weight and warmth.
