Bonnetje Fall/Winter 2026 / FW26 at Copenhagen Fashion Week entitled “CADAVRE EXQUIS”.
Cadavre Exquis takes its name from the surrealist game built on fragmentation, collaboration, and trust. Bonnetje FW26 collection emerges from a similar process, shaped by dialogue, intuition, and ideas that arrive incomplete, allowing meaning to form gradually. The suit serves as a point of departure—not as a stable form, but as a structure embedded with history and authority. It is dismantled and reassembled. Proportions slip, details repeat, and construction becomes porous, as rhythm begins to replace rigidity. The garments retain a sense of openness, as if still in transition.
Bonnetje FW26 / Fall/Winter 2026 presentation unfolds within an interior shaped by time rather than neutrality. Garments made from deconstructed vintage suits carry traces of previous lives. Subtle markers of origin and emergence appear throughout the space, suggesting process rather than outcome.
Anachronism moves through the installation: early 2000s references, reconstructed leather accessories, and small functional objects acting as restrained carriers of memory. Cadavre Exquis frames uncertainty as a method—progression without full clarity, allowing form to emerge along the way.
Bonnetje is a Copenhagen-based brand. We cut up old suits and reassemble the pieces in new silhouettes. By reusing defunct materials we join the search for fashion beyond the current throwaway society. The task of today’s creators demands collaboration with our contemporary peers. But it also asks for collaborations across the ages. The brand do not cut up clothes to do away with yesterday’s fashion but rather to preserve it for today and reintroduce it into circulation. The brand exhibit more feminine silhouettes in classic masculine silhouettes in order to blur the lines between who is inside and who is outside such clothes – who is included and who is excluded.
