Skall Fall/Winter 2026 / FW26 at Copenhagen Fashion Week
For Fall/Winter 2026, SKALL presents Karen Blixen’s Flowers in its most intimate show to date a quiet, immersive presentation conceived as a sensory extension of Karen Blixen’s poetic universe. Staged for just 100 guests, the show unfolds at Kunstnerforeningen af 18. november, a historic Copenhagen venue steeped in art, cultural life and social gatherings. The setting forms a restrained, almost private framework, allowing atmosphere, movement and materiality to take precedence.
Skall FW26 / Fall/Winter 2026 show space is designed by creative partners Mathias Mentze & Alexander Ottenstein from Menteottenstein, who have shaped both the spatial composition and its key elements. Large, hand-crafted ashwood floor candelabras line the room, their living candlelight casting a warm, weighted glow. The use of natural materials and visible craftsmanship reflects the enduring values shared by both Karen Blixen’s world and SKALL’s design philosophy. A recurring floral presence of paperwhites appears throughout the space, reinforcing the show’s central tension between fragility and strength, light and darkness.
Skall FW26 / Fall/Winter 2026 presentation features 20 looks, styled by Annika Agerled, with choreography by Ingeborg Meier Andersen, emphasizing stillness, presence and intimacy rather than spectacle. Adding a live, emotional layer to the show, Varsha Thapa performs during the presentation. The New York based singer-songwriter, known for her tender, cinematic sound, brings an autobiographical and deeply expressive musical dimension to the show. Born and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal, Varsha’s work explores love, longing and identity, themes that resonate closely with the introspective mood of Karen Blixen’s Flowers.
In addition to her music career, Varsha has appeared on the covers of Vogue India and Vogue Italia and walked for houses including Bottega Veneta and latest Chanel, bridging fashion and performance with ease. Together, space, light, movement and live music form a restrained yet emotionally charged presentation a show where atmosphere speaks quietly, and where flowers are allowed to bloom in the dark.
