Oscar de la Renta Pre-Spring 2027 / PS27 in Lake Tahoe Incline Village, Nevada on August 1st, 2026

The Oscar de la Renta PS27 / Pre-Spring 2027 collection debuted on August 1st, against the backdrop of the idyllic blue waters of Lake Tahoe. The show was held at a private lake-front property in partnership with the League to Save Lake Tahoe, benefitting the Keep Tahoe Blue fund. Allies of Skin provided skincare treatment for the models, whose brightened and glowing skin was prepped with products including the Molecular Silk Amino Hydrating Cleanser and Multi Peptides & Growth Factor Advanced Lifting Serum.

The Oscar de la Renta PS27 / Pre-Spring 2027 show opened to a mix of “Eminence Front” by The Who as the first look, a floral chiné jacquard ball gown, emerged. Irises and wildflowers scattered across airy poplins, intricate guipure laces, and printed faille silhouettes. Crystal and bugle bead embroidered evening wear followed, glistening in the sunlight. The finale gown, a wildflower meadow thread work and feather embroidered bridal gown glided down the runway, closing out the runway show.

The Oscar de la Renta Pre-Spring 2027 Collection captures the optimism and energy that come with the arrival of warmer days. Soft shades of sage, blossom and blue quartz form the foundation of the palette, while vibrant accents of bright red, peridot and mimosa bring a sense of joy and vitality throughout the season. Inspired by the luminous landscapes of Spanish painter Joaquín Sorolla, an abstract wildflower meadow blooms across a series of looks. Roses and rhododendrons appear in painterly compositions that evoke the beauty of a garden in full bloom. Elements of these florals reappear throughout the collection as threadwork appliqués on light-wash denim and delicate Guipure lace daywear.

The Iris serves as the season’s signature flower, appearing across a wide range of silhouettes and techniques. From oversized prints on draped jersey dresses to intricate hand-embroidered sequin eveningwear, the motif is interpreted at varying scales and in diverse materials including silk chiffon, felted knits and crisp poplin sateen. New fabrications and craftsmanship techniques bring added richness to the collection. A textured silk jacquard with a floral chiné print introduces a fresh sense of dimension and depth, while dresses printed to resemble crushed velvet create a subtle trompe l’oeil effect that plays with texture and light.

Eveningwear continues to showcase the artistry of the House through intricate beadwork and fluid fringe, rendered in shades of silver, amber and khaki. The collection crescendos with dramatic black statements accented with ruffle lace and feathers — offering a striking final note to a season defined by color, movement and celebration.
