Stone Island unveils its AW ‘026 – ‘027 Campaign. Stone Island presents a new chapter of community as a form of research with the campaign of Autumn_Winter ‘026 – ‘027 collection.

September 1st, 2026 – Stone Island presents the latest chapter of Community as a Form of Research, an ongoing platform through which the brand explores the dialogue between product, culture and the global community that continually shapes its evolution.

Conceived as an extension of Stone Island’s culture of research, the project brings together individuals from different disciplines whose perspectives, experiences and creative practices contribute to an ongoing exchange of ideas. Each participant becomes part of a shared investigation into innovation, identity and contemporary culture.

Developed around Stone Island’s enduring concept of LAB + LIFE, the Autumn_Winter ’026–’027 collection is again presented through a series of portraits in which product innovation and individual expression exist in dialogue. Together, they illustrate how research extends beyond the laboratory, finding meaning through the lives, experiences and communities that interact with it.

The project continues throughout the season with portraits of Fakemink, Skepta, Stephen Graham, 3House, Samir Bantal, Monika Sprüth and Jia Zhang-Ke, each contributing a distinct perspective to the broader cultural conversation that informs Stone Island’s continung research.

The season opens with World Champion table tennis player Xu Xin, DJ and watch dealer Adrian Douzmanian, filmmaker Nick Love, three-time WNBA Champion, two-time WNBA MVP, Olympic Gold Medallist and Unrivaled co-founder Breanna Stewart, and photographer and Hugan Books founder Simjae.

Photographed by David Sims and styled by Max Pearmain under the creative direction of Ferdinando Verderi, the portraits are set against Stone Island’s signature white background, reducing each image to the essential dialogue between individual and garment.

Each portrait is accompanied by a series of questions curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, with accompanying films in which every participant reflects on those questions in their own words. Together, the conversations extend the project beyond image-making, reinforcing Community as a Form of Research as an ongoing platform for curiosity, exchange and collective investigation.

Fakemink wears Q100027 SLICK NYLON TELA-TC_STONE ISLAND. Hooded jacket made from a nylon tela with a textured appearance. After garment dyeing, it is manually treated with resins brushed over the entire surface. It is then heat-pressed to achieve a glossy finish and an oiled appearance. 74% recycled.

Skepta wears 4100035 DENSE OXFORD NYLON-TC_STONE ISLAND. Hooded jacket made from a heavy nylon oxford. The oxford structure, typically used in cotton shirting, has been reinterpreted in nylon to lend strength and lightness to the material. Garment dyed with specific recipes and the addition of an anti-drop agent. The dyeing process lends a textured appearance to the fabric. Quilted lining padded with PrimaLoft®-TC, an exclusive blend of high-performance insulating fibres, 70% recycled, engineered with Stone Island for garment dyeing.

Stephen Graham wears 0100004 BONDED RUBBERISED LEATHER_STONE ISLAND GHOST. Ghost pieces, derived from the concept of camouflage, are totally monochromatic. Even the Stone Island badge is created in a special monocolour version to blend in with the garment. Coach jacket in lambskin with a sprayed finish that lends a technical and rubberised appearance. The leather is bonded to a wool-nylon cloth for a more comfortable hand and greater thermal protection.

3House wears Q100031 HAND PAINTED DAVID LIGHT-TC_STONE ISLAND. Short parka made from a lightweight tela created using Japanese polyester/polyamide yarns with a star-shaped cross-section. The pieces are assembled and then garment dyed under pressure at 130°C. During dyeing, the heat transforms the structure and hand of the material. The piece is manually painted using sponges and brushes with two tones of pigments blended with a polyurethane component, which lends a tactile quality. This artisanal process makes each garment unique and unrepeatable. Treated with a specific anti-drop agent.
