For Anna Choi SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027, This season marked ANNA CHOI’s first participation in Rakuten FWT, with a collection presented in a format that allowed the audience to view models up close and personal. The models walked straight down the runway between eight pure-white platforms placed on either side, then climbed onto the platforms as if putting themselves on display. Afterward, the audience was free to admire the models as they stood there. Guests were given pamphlets containing descriptions of each look, creating an experience akin to visiting an art museum.

True to this museum-like experience, the concept for this collection was “SCULPTURAL.” Designer Anna Choi took the perspective of viewing clothing not as something to be worn, but as a work of art that shapes the body. Based in New York, the designer reconstructs the memories and sensations she’s gathered in Tokyo, Paris, and other places, translating them into her own artistic expression.

Using materials such as silk satin and silk organza, she emphasizes or extends the body’s lines in her work, sculpting them as if creating a work of art. Her core philosophy—to beautifully showcase while reinterpreting the form of the female body—remains unchanged. The spirit of haute couture, which she holds dear, is reflected even more strongly in Anna Choi SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 collection. Through this approach, the designs of this collection had been refined to achieve a more dynamic and sophisticated expression.

The jewelry that sparkled on the models’ bodies was provided by MIKIMOTO, a collaboration partnership that began at the 2026 Paris Haute Couture Collection when the designer created costumes for an exhibition of MIKIMOTO’s high jewelry collection.
