ART259DESIGN Spring/Summer 2027 / SS27 at Milan Fashion Week
The ART259DESIGN SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 collection is built around the idea of opposites existing together rather than cancelling each other out. The story uses nature, the human body, and the earth as metaphors for balance: heat and cold, rain and sunlight, night and morning, body and soul, vulnerability and strength.
At the center is the idea of returning to the ground. Going barefoot becomes a symbolic act of reconnecting with one’s origins and feeling the earth directly. The body moves from flesh to body, then soul and essence, suggesting a process of rediscovering the self by breaking away from defenses and reconnecting with nature.
ART259DESIGN SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 collection also carries a sense of journey and escape. The blackened and frayed edges of the garments evoke clothes worn after a long journey, while the invitation to walk without a destination represents losing oneself in order to find oneself again. In this context, fashion becomes less about categories and more about the human experience.
Visually, earth and sky, body and material, roughness and softness come together. The central message is that beauty can emerge from contrast—and that sometimes, escaping from the familiar is actually a way of returning to who we are.
