MILAN, 22 September 2026 — Laurèl presented its SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 Atelier collection at Rotonda della Besana, an 18th-century Baroque landmark. Under the theme “Layers of Time”, the collection unfolds a contemporary narrative of order, time and women.

The Atelier collection brings Laurèl’s commitment to design and craftsmanship into focus. Building on the rational spirit of Bauhaus, it explores fashion as an art form through carefully considered materials, meticulous craftsmanship and refined tailoring, extending the brand’s creative ambition from fashion into art.

Founded in Munich, Germany, in 1978, Laurèl journeys from Germany to Milan, bringing two influential ideas in the history of modern design into dialogue: the order of Bauhaus and the humanist perspective of the Renaissance. Time is understood through measure and order; composition through proportion, perspective and the act of seeing. Together, they establish a renewed balance between reason and emotion for Laurèl Spring/Summer 2027.

This season, Laurèl’s signature tailoring establishes a sense of order through architectural shoulders and precise proportions, while fluid silhouettes, folds and draping lend the garments a relaxed sense of movement. Silk, cotton, linen and double-yarn washi textiles combine with three-dimensional jacquards and hand-finished fringing to create delicate layers. Ivory, khaki and light brown form a quiet foundation, punctuated by berry red and mist blue. The refinement of Atelier lies in a precise command of proportion, material and time. Warm ivory takes the lead, with mixed yarns handwoven in Italian workshops and three-dimensional jacquards creating sculptural textures and a softly translucent finish, balancing rational restraint with artistic tension.

Afternoon sunlight filters through the historic colonnades of Rotonda della Besana as models move between architecture, gardens, light and shadow. The three-hundred-year-old setting becomes a vessel for time, with women at the heart of the story.
