For Fashion Week, Martino Midali dedicates his new runway show to all women. “The Beauty of Being a Woman” lies at the heart of ICONICA, a collection that returns to the roots of the Midali aesthetic to reinterpret them for the present day. It is not a nostalgic homage to the archives, but a fresh take on the shapes, volumes, and stylistic codes that—over nearly fifty years of history—have forged an identity that is instantly recognizable yet deeply contemporary.

On Martino Midali SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 by the brand runway, women of different generations, personalities, and backgrounds come together to express a single, powerful idea through fashion: there is no single way to be a woman, for every woman embodies a unique and unrepeatable beauty. “The Beauty of Being a Woman” is a tribute to the freedom to be oneself, to individuality, and to a femininity that shifts, evolves, and expresses itself in infinite forms. Martino Midali SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 by the brand, At the core of ICONICA lies the return of viscose jersey—the foundational material of the Midali universe and the designer’s true signature. Fluid, stretchy, and unrestrictive, it moves with the body rather than constraining it, telling a story of femininity that is independent, personal, and dynamic. This reflects the guiding principle behind Martino Midali’s creative journey: to construct without constraining. Tunics, oversized kaftans, A-line cuts, loose tops, layered looks, wide-leg trousers, and long skirts all make a comeback. These are silhouettes rooted in the brand’s heritage, now reimagined with new proportions and a fresh sense of balance. The garment does not define the body but creates space around the figure, following its movement. The jersey shifts its rhythm through color: anthracite grey adds depth, natural tones lighten the shapes, and coral injects energy. Stripes—another signature element of the Midali vocabulary—return in white-and-blue and grey-and-natural combinations, transforming with every movement.

Alongside jersey, denim becomes a structural element: trench coats, palazzo trousers, overshirts, tunics, skirts, and barrel silhouettes introduce structure without sacrificing voluminous freedom. White, military green, and sage hues expand its character, while the materials progressively lighten, evolving into mesh and embossed organza.
