The Frankie Shop opens its first pop-up in Shanghai China
The Frankie Shop opens its first pop-up in Shanghai China at Réel Department Store in Shanghai on October 22, presenting a curated edit of its FW26 collection. The space will remain open through the end of December.
Founded in New York in 2015 by French-born Gaëlle Drevet, The Frankie Shop has since expanded to Paris and Milan. Known for its power tailoring, generous proportions, and rich textural contrasts, the label reworks familiar dress codes with a balance of structure and ease. The result is a wearable, contemporary wardrobe made to be layered, mixed, and worn your own way.
Conceived around the theme “City dialogue | Paris · Shanghai,” the pop-up takes the postcard as its creative starting point, drawing on the distinct character and pace of life of each city. Parisian nonchalance meets Shanghai’s open-minded, inclusive spirit in a concept reflecting frankie’s approach to dressing: polished yet relaxed, considered yet instinctive. Carrying personal messages and memories, the postcard becomes a link between two worlds.
“In a world of constant noise and instant communication, the postcard invites us to slow down, gather our thoughts, and take the time to write to someone we care about. It offers a moment away from our screens, a more thoughtful and personal way to connect.” – Gaëlle Drevet
The interior translates Frankie’s restrained aesthetic into soft neutral tones, punctuated by pastel accents that echo the FW26 collection’s considered injection of color. Clean lines reflect the label’s effortless urban edge, while an open layout allows visitors to move freely through the space. Images play a central role in this concept, with a selection curated by frankie’s creative team. Drawn from the brand’s research and archives, the photos are presented as postcards that visitors can write and mail on-site.
The Shanghai pop-up marks the Frankie Shop’s first direct retail presence in Shanghai, China. More than a new destination for its collections, it brings the brand’s vision closer to the city’s fashion and creative communities.
