inspired by both Henri Matisse’s cut out collages, and the iconic structural pieces of andre courreges, Gayeon Lee has created her own abstract prints of soft shapes and floating flowers, paired with a ditrinctive contemporary interpretation of 60’s silhouettes.
Collages of abric and eye-catching geometric elements linked by buttons; clinching detailing that creates volume; tailored tunics and trousers given structured volume with simplified feminine details; joyful prints and intricate silhouettes shown throughout feminine and fluent; softly tailored pieces; and a modern interpretation of the corset and bras are the main features of this collection.
The Collection primarily features silky, bold prints, voluminous midi-length skirts, puffy sleeves and draped collars; dropped-shoulder oversized jacket and coats; and dresses with gathered volume though drawstring detailing. the selection of fabrics used ranges from plain cotton to printed silk and woolens, while shearling lining options for the jackets adds warmth for the winter season.
