The designer, who has always been in search of artistic synergies that have led her to explore different cultural worlds from cinema to art auctions, from music to photography, with her personal portfolio of studies and professional experience to the Moulin Rouge, has constantly melded her art with that of noteworthy experiences. The search for unusual and innovative concepts has allowed her to discover fresh nuances and reach an increasingly wider audience, as happened in September 2019 at Bagni Misteriosi and in February 2020 at The Space in Piazza Duomo. There in the great hall of the theatre, Francesca Liberatore presented the film J-Kolombina-R, anticipating the new trend for film-shows by many months, which has characterized recent fashion weeks around the world.
And it is for this reason that the designer has sought the essential collaboration with the Società dei Concerti Foundation. Together with President and Creative Director Enrica Ciccarelli Mormone, the Quartetto Adorno, Gloria Campaner and Roberto Prosseda perform the AW21/22 show with their unique instruments. The collaborations continues with Mario Sesti film critic and movie director, Alessandro Turci professor and fashion critic, Alice Falco photographer and videomaker from longtime closed to the designer.
Moreover, following the success of last season, during which the collection had been auctioned off and auctioned live in benefit of the non-profit organization Golfini Rossi (for the construction of the Mawima hospital canteen – now completed), the collaboration with Cambi Auction House continues.
FRANCESCA LIBERATORE (Rome, 1983) graduates at Central Saint Martins in 2007 and immediately starts work for some of the world’s most celebrated design houses including Viktor & Rolf – Amsterdam, Jean Paul Gaultier – Paris and Brioni woman upon her return to Italy. In 2009 Liberatore steps out on her own and launches her namesake label winning Italy’s prestigious Next Generation competition promoted by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana and continues presenting runway shows during Milan Fashion Week.
Francesca Liberatore, both the creative director, and the collection are an immediate hit. The following years she shows in some of the world’s most celebrated cities and venues, Paris, London, Canton, Berlin, san petersburg, Minsk, Warsaw, thanks to special capsule and international partnerships, including Moulin Rouge Paris, Saga Furs, Swarovski, Nafa, Lineapelle and more.

Passion and determination are the key of her success, upholding the Made in Italy name overseas. In 2014 Francesca Liberatore wins the DHLExported Award, a direct link to an important partnership with IMG Fashion, that opens the door to show her collections for the next seven seasons in the official schedule of New York Fashion Week, in the most exclusive NY catwalk venues, Lincoln Center Salon, Moyniahn Station at the Dock Skylight and Gallery 1 at Clarkson Square.
On february 2018 she comes back to Milan and, in the same year, she celebrates her 10-year career anniversary with the publication of “FRANCESCA LIBERATORE – the book” edited by Silvana Editoriale and distributed worldwide.
In september 2019, Liberatore presents at Milan Fashion Week, for the first time off schedule, with an extraordinary show giving life to a totally new runway concept at Bagni Misteriosi – Teatro Franco Parenti, featuring a live performance from the National Italian Olympic Artistic Swim Team, with the partnership of DHL and Arena, also she designed the Olympic training swimsuit for the 2020 Tokyo games of Italian team.
In february 2020, in the great hall of The Space cinema in Piazza Duomo, Francesca Liberatore open her show with the movie J-Kolombina-R, anticipating by many months the new trend of film-shows which has characterized recent fashion weeks all over the world.
In september 2020, in order to support the importance of a cohesive system, the designer comes back to CNMI official calendar, presenting her SS2021 collection again with an original format: at the international auction house Cambi Casa d’Aste, right during the show the collection has been auctioned via live streaming and all proceeds has been donated to the nonprofit Golfini Rossi’s Sanità a Mvimwa project.
