Georges Wendell Fall Winter 2022 – 2023 at Paris Men’s Fashion Week

Georges Wendell reflects on Paris Youth, a generation that comes from all its corner and takes inspiration from each of its facets. The Parisian label filters classic designs through a youthful lens.

Creative Director, Pierre Kaczmarek revived the brand in 2020, which originally began as an almost forgotten tailoring shop in Le Sentier Paris’ Garment District. He was a founding member of the Parisian label Afterhomework, which was started while Kaczmarek was in high school. His work on the label earned him a nomination for the ANDAM Fashion Award, making the French designer the prize’s youngest-ever nominee.

And it takes inspiration from Paris districts stereotypes, these neighborhood heroes that are sometimes their own caricatures: from the traditional Garçon de café to the business man. The tailoring-oriented silhouettes are a mix of every district style and feel, genuinely com[1]bined and rearranged to represent a rawer and more modern version of Paris. Multi-fabric interpretation of straight-leg trousers, blazers and bomber jackets showcase effortless experimentation, while playful details like contrast stitching and offset pockets define the label’s personality.
