We are standing in the midst of the repetition of many creatures and civilizations that have been born and disappeared.

The organisms that have survived on Earth today have adapted to and co-existed with the climate and environment. Animals, plants, insects, viruses, amoebas, etc.

Earth, Space, Metaverse, AI, Moonshot. The time is almost here when we will be equipped with the ability to adapt.

In Seveskig Fall Winter 2022 – 2023, we will use the lessons learned from the process known as evolution so far, to ensure that humans, animals, viruses and AI can coexist and We have created a COLLECTION with the hope that we can adapt and remain here.

Material Seveskig Fall Winter 2022 – 2023 collection

・Original Japanese beef leather for meat, made from zeolite-tanned leather, which decomposes when leftover leather is buried in the soil instead of being incinerated.

・Ezo deerskin and Ezo deer antler buttons, which are restricted and vermin-free in Hokkaido.

・Foxes, which have been vermin-controlled in Hokkaido.

・American collar mouton for meat

・Kempiwool compressed-knit melton with animal hair blend, in which the hair from the remaining pelts of Ezo bears and Ezo deer used in the SPECIAL ORDER is blended with wool yarns.

・Imabari towel fabric with non-ply yarn and cut to show the pattern

・Swelled jacquard folded in the jacquard production area Kiryu (in collaboration with up-and-coming artist Miranda).

・Double-faced Gobelins with illustrations by up-and-coming artist Miranda on fabric.

・ECOPEL eco-fur, which looks and feels very similar to real fur

・SILK 100% double-faced fleece, a material that has been rethought for its antiviral and antibacterial properties.

Coloring Seveskig Fall Winter 2022 – 2023 collection

There is a natural anthropological theory that states that the ancestors of humans on earth originated in Africa and then spread throughout the world. The FW is inspired by the colouring of African flags.

Seveskig Fall Winter 2022 – 2023:  Adaptability. Modern high-tech equipment exists in the improvement of convenience by applying it to various inconvenient things. FW theme “Adaptability”. In order to express the fact that homo sapiens adapted to various things and evolved into today’s new mankind, we made full use of all the high-tech from analogue to modern technology. An analogue slide show was produced. The photographs were developed on positive film, projected on paper using a projector and photographed with a digital camera with poor sensitivity. Effects were added using the latest PCs, while the sound from the projector was blasted in for each effect. The sky in the film represents the sub-theme “Simulation” = “Colour is Emptiness”. The things we see in this world are only uncertain and we don’t know if they are really there or not. The colourful clothes and models are all expressed as ’empty’.
