Alessandro Enriquez Fall Winter 2023 – 2024 Collection at Milan Fashion Week

The new Alessandro Enriquez collection is a tribute to pop art that the designer stages at Palazzo Morando in Milan with the complicity of the Italian artist, exponent of New Futurism, Marco Lodola to whom he “tells” his inspirations for this Autumn season -Winter 23-24.

Marco Lodola’s interpretations are born from Alessandro’s drawings, who transforms the icons of Enriquez’s prints into majestic light sculptures from dizzying heights and which illuminate the looks of the next winter season in the image campaign. Conversely Marco Lodola, entrusts Alessandro with his drawings so that they are contaminated with his hand, to create very colorful “Enriquez / Lodola” looks.

Enriquez shines the light on this new collection by intensifying its colour, making it brilliant, almost blinding, immersed in an intense red that frames the entire FW. In fact, the entire collection gravitates around the graphic imagery of the Italian Circus, its polka dots and thousand lines that Alessandro distorts making them psychedelic, its illuminations, its spectacular performances and its timeless icons such as Moira Orfei. Colors, hearts, circles, horses, plumes, ropes, nets, improvisation and tenacity of the craft: everything is transferred to a proposal enhanced first of all by the plasticity of red vinyl alternating with black and white, with oversized and unisex coats with masculine models that yield the step to micro miniskirts, to sequined crop t-shirts combined with sheath skirts and alternating with screwed shirtdresses or printed maxi skirts, carry overs of the brand, masterfully mixing with glittery tulle and printed shirts, banners of Alessandro di Italianness and love.

The 100% merino wool knitwear is embellished with many colored buttons that recall the traditions of the circus, as are the maxi pants with braces and slim fit shirts. A colorful game that mixes his and hers wardrobes, creating a genderless fluidity that is a hymn to freedom: miniskirts printed on patent leather trousers for him and tailor made dresses for her! Bouclé version boiled wool with and without fringes is the protagonist of this season together with the checks of the double and single-breasted oversized coats and kilts that Alessandro mixes with colors creating a mix and patch world that recalls circus clothing.

The color card has been decided this year and in addition to the ranges of orange, green and purple Alessandro keeps the whole collection united with four colors, cornflower blue, flag green, red and yellow which are none other than the iconic colors of UNO ®, the #1 card game in the world by Mattel, which Alessandro reinterprets in a Fashion version by designing multicolor graphics where the cards become graphic elements that mix with the check designs of the collection and the “very Circus” props together with the food elements that are always present in the collections of the very Italian designer.

Alessandro Enriquez exhibits his work and the works created by Marco Lodola at Palazzo Morando, with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Milan, in a museum space, Palazzo Morando, which is not only a place of exhibition but a casket in which the links that exist between different worlds, that of art and that of fashion, held together by love, Alessandro’s eternal muse.
