Vuarnet SS24 presents Fellowship Expeditions. When we think Vuarnet, we also think Expeditions. This season introduced the collection for mountain athletes, climbers, alpinists and hikers.
I wanted The Fellowship (Vuarnet’s mountaineers community) to be as iconic as the brand itself. Vuarnet’s history is stretched between French alpine heritage and an international outdoor culture.
Fellows are not limited to only mountain athletes, climbers, alpinists and hikers – but all protagonists that have a true and original relationship with the mountain. I was more and more keen to meet mountain farmers, shepherds, vulcanologists, biologists, forest rangers, rescuers, guides, ranchers … during Vuarnet’s Fellowship Expeditions. Those laborers of the Mountains fully belong to this community and more globally to the outdoor culture. They surely deserve, as any athlete or alpinist, to be equipped with the best protection. They spend most of their time in Nature, sometimes in the most remote and exposed places.
Vuarnet’s history has, of course, its origins in the Alps: as Chamonix, Annecy, Mont Blanc, Morzine, Avoriaz … are the key places of Vuarnet’s DNA. However the variety of mountains in France goes beyond the mainland. Its overseas territories represents a large diversity of geology that Vuarnet shall explore more and more. Volcanos and « Mornes » in the French Caribbean islands, for instance, illustrate an other approach to mountaineering.
La Maison de la Montagne Française (French Mountain House) also has a strong relationship with the U.S. mountains: California, Colorado, Oregon, Wyoming… all totally belong to Vuarnet’s vocabulary as the founder and the brand have known important successes in those regions.
This photo project combines several Vuarnet Fellowship Expeditions, includes eyewear and products available for Vuarnet Spring Summer 2024.
