TWEO SS24 at Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo

TWEO SPRING SUMMER 2024 the fracture of It is 9pm during the summer time by the seaside, where I am traveling alone somewhere foreign, I have a feeling of gratitude for the unknown scenes that keep surprising me to all senses. It is all about absorbing the beautiful scenery, the summer evening breeze through my hair, how peaceful the horizon looks, people chatting and relaxing here and there.

This is all good until I feel like “I am alone somewhere I don’t belong to, I would like to see this scenery for quite a long time but at some point, I have to leave.”

This feeling can be placed in so many situations in our daily lives. It can be called “dream” or “repentant”, one represents the future whilst and another represents the past. But before we decide what exactly this sentiment is, it is so present that for me is always the fuel to give me the power to make clothing and show my perspective.

The TWEO Spring Summer 2024 collection is not exactly about how beautiful the seaside and how I get inspired by it, it is about self-reflection, the loneliness and the bitter-sweet emotion of one individual feeling like an outsider from time to time. I tried creating each piece with a certain intention and it led sometimes twisted, distorted and floated under a romantic tone.
