Marco Rambaldi’s woman is a bad girl (Malafemmina in Italian) who moves freely between satin sheets and the desire to conquer the world just like Modesta, the protagonist of The Art of Joy, Goliarda Sapienza’s masterpiece. She is ready to do anything for freedom and a better life, she is not afraid of being a creature beyond gender. He’s a man and a woman at the same time.

Just like Dionysus, god of ambiguity, wine and ecstasy. During the bacchanalia dedicated to the god, the thrill and the union of bodies become the pretext to put aside for a moment the mask that defines our identity. The Marco Rambaldi SS24 collection is women who dance in the sacredness of their being living bodies, carnal and profane, as depicted in the collage print of non-existent works created with artificial intelligence.

If in the Fall/Winter 2023 Marco Rambaldi explored the people of the night, in this summer we find ourselves in the twilight which becomes a hybrid place where we can be other, different, free. A place of seduction where boundaries blur. The imagery of southern Italy is present in the collection in a transversal but never literal manner. The sunlight is filtered through crochet creating a romantic shadow on recycled nylon tulle.

One of the most characteristic prints of the collection is made by pendants which combines elements of the Christian religion such as crucifixes mixed with symbols of love, the profane and emotional sphere of the human being.

Also from the imagination of southern Italy comes the jacquard developed on denim which creates a snapshot of scarves decorated with fringes and in movement.

The same movement stands out and materializes in knitwear and crochet where, in addition to the signature heart chain stitch introduced last Season, the fringe predominates and becomes a decorative and structural element of the garments.

It changes into a Swarovski chain which enriches the crochet of garments made entirely by hand. They draw from the world of underwear that contaminates the collection starting from the most classic garments in plain viscose crepe which are enriched with trimmings and hooks.

They find their maximum expression in the shiny satin models which, starting from the slip, evolve by sliding over the body without constraints and enveloping it in its sensuality.

For Marco Rambaldi SS24, Swarovski are also used all-over to create boldly shiny dresses covered in crystals, in pink and crystal.
