Luis De Javier Spring/Summer 2024 collection promises an evolution for the brand: Mentored by Riccardo Tisci, Luis De Javier is poised to enter a new era focused on bold, accessible ready-to-wear with genderless silhouettes that speak to the future of fashion.

Inspiration of Luis De Javier SS24, by the 90’s hardcore rave movement in Spain called ‘La Ruta del Bacalao’, which was shut down by an oppressive government, De Javier wants to imagine a utopia in which this movement would still be alive today.

 “Fashion has always mirrored and explored socio-political issues. With this collection, we aim to reflect, question, and spark a dialogue on pressing matters, like the rise of a nationalist, far-right political party, that are affecting Spain and the world today.”

Channeling a fearlessness that extends beyond queerness and to women, the designer wants this collection to challenge, provoke, and inspire.

Luis De Javier SS24 collection features latex, leather, corsetry, jersey and workwear. Accessories, including teeth flats, shoe covers, rubber spikes, necklaces, earrings, were created in collaboration with Aslan World.

Luis De Javier is partnering with social commerce platform emcee for this Spring Summer 2024 collection. “I’m excited to be working together with emcee, as their innovative retails platform is leading the way for designers and creators to collaborate and connect”.

About Luis De Javier:

Luis De Javier is a Spanish born and London based fashion designer. In 2018. De Javier graduated from the prestigious Westminster university in London with BA fashion design honors. De Javier headed to the atelier of Dame Vivienne Westwood where he continued his design skills focusing on draping and cutting. Throughout that time, De Javier was under the auspicious guidance of designer Gareth Pugh.

In February 2020, Luis De Javier launched his brand and debuted during London Fashion week. The press applauded his vision of genderless fashion and inclusivity with queer integrity. De Javier has dressed celebrities such as Beyoncé, Rihanna, Cardi B, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Janet Jackson and Naomi Campbell.

Luis De Javier is celebrated not just for his avant-garde designs but also for his fearless approach to addressing societal narratives through his work. With this collection, he continues to use the runway as a platform to spotlight and amplify issues close to his heart.
