CANALI FW24 at Milan Men Fashion Week entitled INTO NATURE.
Canali’s new collection, “Into Nature”, is an ode to the outdoors, tinged with evocative brushstrokes and an understated, whispered charm rooted in know-how and sartorial mastery.
The vision of a walk in the great outdoors shrouded in winter mist makes its way into CANALI Fall/Winter 2024 / FW24 collection, rich in textured fabrics – bouclé, alpaca, mouliné, mélange, and the iconic Double in wool or cashmere. They are plied into outerwear, from double-breasted peacoats to the new signature Sahariana jackets and cocooning Double car coats, or into fluid and relaxed sartorial pants, as well as suits bearing Plaid, Prince of Wales and corduroy motifs, essential elements of the new “outdoor tailoring”.
Details of CANALI Fall/Winter 2024 / FW24FW24, the plaid pattern, with its intersecting lines effortlessly evoking the rhythmic patterns in nature, comes in shades of dark gray and is pervasive throughout the collection: it becomes fabric and motif on outerwear, suits, and knitwear but also on accessories like capes and maxi-scarves, backpacks, or wearable leather coin-purses.
Canali’s craftsmanship reaches its maximum expression in the Double wardrobe, which welcomes new items restating the brand’s authority in the use of the technique in menswear. The elaborate handicraft for unlined, seamless woolen or cashmere garments, is worked into shoes and accessories as well as outerwear, shirt-jackets, and pants that offer a contemporary interpretation of formal attire. In the exclusive taupe Montgomery, even the loops and toggles are covered in double fabric, a demonstration of the brand’s unparalleled mastery, research, and innovation.
Soft knitwear with nature-inspired tricot patterns adds texture to more formal looks, while jacquard under-jackets blend with micro and macro plaid patterns of relaxed dresses, Double parkas with leather pockets, and shearling-collared bombers.
The color of CANALI FW24 choice is a particular shade of green, a pictorial evocation of the haze of winter days, inspired by Canali’s land of origin and Stendhal’s literary work “Journal du voyage dans la Brianza,” becoming the protagonist of the color palette and the new brand identity.
