Concept Korea returns to New York Fashion Week with familiar roster of designers KIMMY.J, CHARM’S and MMAM for presents their FW24 / Fall Winter 2024, providing a stunning snapshot of the many unique design styles prevalent in the Korean fashion industry. From punk-inspired avant-garde compositions from KIMMY.J, to wearable art with MMAM, and alluring styles from CHARM’S, each designer transforms garments into distinct forms of storytelling.

Globally renowned K-POP star, Shownu, the leader of Monsta X, has become an ambassador for the Concept Korea global campaign, injecting a new level of excitement into the project and ensuring a more impactful and engaging promotion. His participation as a model on the runway coupled with his outstanding accomplishments is poised to significantly enhance the Concept Korea global campaign, drawing attention within the fashion industry and garnering increased recognition.

MMAM designer Hyun Park highlights the philosophical value of family through elements of graffiti embroidered into classic silhouettes. MMAM FW24, Inspired by doodle drawings, the signature graffiti evokes a child’s first visual language and a human instinct to yearn for play. MMAM FW24 / Fall Winter 2024 collection uses modern silhouettes designed to be worn comfortably by anyone, from the working woman to the daring street artist.

As an emotional brand, CHARM’S creative director Yohan Kang is on a mission to create pieces that empower the wearer with confidence and poise. CHARM’S FW24, Inspired by various cultures such as movies and music, the emotion, especially love, contained in them are expressed in CHARM’S own personality and colors. This CHARM’S Fall Winter 2024, CHARM’S emphasizes the dichotomy of darkness and light, and even more so the natural human instinct to find a shining light in the dark.

Designers Jenny Kim and Haeun Lee of KIMMY.J strive to create socially meaningful pieces, often partnering with artists who have poignant messages to convey. KIMMY.J Fall Winter 2024 collection promotes collaboration with future value investment fields such as electric vehicles, manifesting as an avant-garde interpretation of streetwear.

Contrasting textures and fabric weights define the collection, paying homage to the diverse artists who influence the KIMMY.J FW24 collection.

About Concept Korea:

Concept Korea is a global fashion program hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA).

It has been an official program at NYFW since 2010 and is a collaborative project to promote Korean fashion designers and assist them in their attempts to break into the U.S. fashion market, hosting annual fashion shows to showcase Korean designers’ collections selected by industry leaders and experts.
