Marco Rambaldi FW24 / Fall Winter 2024 at Milan Fashion Week Presents Memento Amori.
The heartbeat slows down, the breathing is silent, empathy fades, the order of things fails, everything is far away from us until it is too close. The perception of the difference of what is right and what is wrong is overshadowed.
We are united in a temporal avalanche, swept away by a river of constant images, in a routine of endless repetition, squeezed between work and the chaos of the mind. We want to escape but our legs no longer move, aliens on our earth. Imperishable however the dream remains, transcends the soul, materializes in front of us.
Memento amori, remember that You must Love, remember the soul, the night, the happiness: some people make love out of boredom, we do it professionally. This is the day, welcome to the beginning of it all.
For the Marco Rambaldi FW24 collection we stripped the body of the social weight it carries, the garments are a-temporal.
A journey through our archives, from the most iconic garments such as the knitwear made in jacquard in rainbow hearts, floating and lace stitch hearts, to garments dating back to the brand’s beginnings such as the sleeveless and short bomber revisited in wool, denim and leather, the dress with drawstrings that dresses the body without constrictions.
The garments made in trompe l’oeil knitwear are the most obvious representation of what is the line of the season: the effect of the design deludes the eye into seeing a body dressed in erotic clothing, but in reality it is wrapped in alpaca knitwear with over shapes and which, on the contrary, cover and warm it, details of Marco Rambaldi Fall Winter 2024.
Likewise the knitwear and twin sets, on which the braids of the tricot alphabet are embellished with Swarovski crystals, of a heavenly blue as the sky above us and as transparent as our intentions, which are embedded on 3D-printed bezels in collaboration with D-house urban laboratory.
The caban, coat and jacket are outerwear whose volumes derive from a specific construction and were made of different materials, such as the precious devorated velvet signed by Redaelli 1893, whose sophisticated design as well as its color interpretation were made exclusively for Marco Rambaldi FW24 collection.
The longuette and pants, shifted from the office world, are revisited creating three-piece suits that are both rigorous and chaotic, with the top full of laces that stains the silhouette. Marco Rambaldi and UGG Shoes, do to the collaboration with UGG, we were able to wrap our imaginary custom boots in a warm embrace on our feet.
We also wanted to mention Italian dressing with the knitted twin-set.
Finally, with Cuoio di Toscana, we created a Marco Rambaldi footwear collection, with green soles symbolizing the sustainability values we share, and created our own heels that lift us off the ground.
Our time is now, not tomorrow. We have the right and the duty to seek happiness.
