CARNET-ARCHIVE SS25 / Spring Summer 2025 at Milan Fashion Week entitled BRUTALIST

CARNET-ARCHIVE SS25, BRUTALIST is a collection inspired by Brutalist architecture, exploring themes of destruction and regeneration. This collection reflects the raw exposure of rebar and concrete, bold structural aesthetics, exposed functional elements, and the inspiration drawn from the decaying Brutalist ruins within urban environments.

The garments’ structure is built using piping, seam sealing tape, and wire, incorporating architectural-inspired surfaces and volumes to enhance the structural beauty. Additionally, deconstruction techniques are employed to expose the internal structures of the garments.

CARNET-ARCHIVE SS25 collection features experimental fabrics that evoke vintage tones reminiscent of concrete, cement, rust, and rebar. These include coated and processed fabrics, heat-treated synthetic fibers, and recycled materials from used battery films, mixed with fine-quality jersey, denim, and cotton.

The distinctive hand-coating dye technique, a hallmark of the brand since its inception, is used to create textiles that resemble concrete and cement fragments. This technique is applied to unisex rider items, the signature Human-shell pants, a newly developed line of bags, tote bags, and clutches. It is also incorporated into a range of upcycled products made from vintage duffel bags.
