July 18th 2024, The experimentation with coating on cottons: iron oxides are obtained through the recycling of metal wastes, which is either plated or spray painted onto the garments, the latter creating an elemental gradient effect.
Stone Island AW24 459T1 PANAMA RECYCLED OXIDE PLATING collection includes hooded jackets, hooded sweatshirts and crewneck sweatshirts, each piece unique as a result of the iron oxide technique.

Fabric derived by reusing cotton material scraps from the Stone Island production chain. The scraps selected in the production plants are reprocessed to obtain new blended yarns, containing at least 50% recovered material. The fabrics derived from this elaborate recovery and regeneration process are used for new garments.Hooded jacket made in Panama weaved fabric in 50% recycled cotton yarn, 50% Lyocell derived from cellulose. The fabric is then plated with inorganic coloured pigments based on iron oxides obtained through the recycling of ferrous materials. Padded light cotton canvas lining.
