The Garment Spring/Summer 2025 / SS25 at Copenhagen Fashion Week entitled The Arts Club.
The Garment Spring Summer 2025 collection is inspired by the craft of Thorvaldsens Museum, the first contemporary art museum in Denmark. Founded by Bertel Thorvaldsen, who was the first international art student from Copenhagen appointed by the art academy at the age of eleven, the museum embodies a long-standing tradition of artistic excellence.
After studying in Rome, Bertel Thorvaldsen returned to Copenhagen to create this iconic institution which continues to influence art students from around the world. Today, these budding artists gather in the museum’s courtyard to draw and be inspired, much like the guests at the upcoming show of The Garment Spring/Summer 2025 / SS25.
Designed by the acclaimed Charlotte Eskildsen, The Garment Spring/Summer 2025 / SS25 collection marries classic sophistication with a modern sensibility. It features intricately detailed lace and lingerie fabrics sourced from flea markets in France (where Eskildsen has a second home in a medieval city close to the sea) adding a touch of history and romance to each garment.
