Won Hundred Spring/Summer 2025 / SS25 at Copenhagen Fashion Week. Won Hundred Is Presenting “versatility”.
This season, Won Hundred delves deeper into the rugged and unpolished aspects of the brand, merging these with the formal side and integrating denim into the mainline collection. The collection channels the essence of denim through innovative techniques, challenging viewers to question what they see and feel. As an extension of the themes introduced in the Autumn/Winter 2024 collection “Surrender,” the Won Hundred Spring/Summer 2025 line showcases the brand’s expertise and evolution.
“Versatility” embraces the beauty of imperfection, celebrating the nuanced experiences that shape our identities. It reflects a true appreciation for the versatile journeys we undertake and the character we build from our learnings.
THE BEAUTY IN THE IMPERFECT
Won Hundred Spring/Summer 2025 / SS25 is an homage to the simplicity that enables a definition of the whole picture. It’s a blend of rawness and refinement, a testament to the challenging yet harmonious relationship between the rugged and the polished.
“I’ve always been drawn to the sphere between extremes, where beauty exists in the duality of the rugged and the polished. This is the space where Won Hundred has always thrived, and with this collection, we have truly discovered and understood its essence.” – Nikolaj Nielsen, Founder & Creative Director.
Won Hundred SS25 collection is a tribute to the ever-evolving spirit of Won Hundred. Unlike the FW24 collection, which embraced the past, SS25 looks toward a nuanced future. This season, a sophisticated narrative is explored that blends subtle rawness with romanticized punk, creating a combination that challenges and redefines the interpretation of Won Hundred as modern style.
The inspiration of Won Hundred Spring/Summer 2025 / SS25 is rooted in the contrast of rugged, rock-infused elements with the refined elegance of clean-cut shirts and trousers. The duality of authentic vintage aesthetics against clean, minimalist designs highlights the essence of versatility, moving from the past into the future of Won Hundred. Each piece tells a story of finding beauty in imperfection, celebrating asymmetry, and embracing the flaws that make us unique.
“Won Hundred SS25 collection revisits the spirit of denim, interpreted in a raw yet subtle manner. Distressed washes and deliberate imperfections become signatures of perfection, embodying the philosophy that the imperfect is indeed perfect. Asymmetrical patterns in womenswear and the playful, nonchalant styling of leather belts add layers of depth and intrigue.” – Nikolaj Nielsen, Founder & Creative Director.
CELEBRATING CONTRADICTIONS: BLENDING THE RUGGED WITH THE POLISHED
The synergy of opposing poles was the central theme of the runway show, showcasing the innovation that arises from combining seemingly disparate elements. The sound design featured a shamanic undertone, blending various components to invite consumers to experience city life, seaside landscapes, and industrial environments, all enhanced by a refined live violin performance. The fusion of the classic violin with the shamanic sound design created a captivating journey through diverse aesthetics, amplifying the beauty of the experience.
The show’s location had the charm of an ordinary, untouched backyard combined with the allure of meticulously restored and refined vintage Porsche cars. These elements together created a unique environment where the simplicity of a backyard meets the craftsmanship of beautifully preserved cars, allowing us to appreciate the blend of unfiltered nature and enhanced mechanical beauty—a celebration of contradictions, much like the collection itself.
Handmade drinks from the world-renowned bar, Bird, were served by their waitstaff. Two signature drinks, were specially crafted for the show. These drinks were enjoyed on seemingly simple white plastic chairs, which are typically found in carefully curated designs. Here, once again, we challenged the expected to provide new and exciting experiences.
The synergy emerges from the collection, blending the rugged with the polished, and is conveyed through the show.
DENIM PRODUCTION: A JOURNEY OF INNOVATION AND RESPONSIBILITY
At the heart of our production philosophy is a commitment to reinvention. With a clear vision, we have transformed our denim manufacturing processes to significantly reduce our environmental footprint.
Our energy consumption now stands at 1.393 KWH per unit of jeans, an improvement from the industry average of 3.1 KWH per unit. This improvement is achieved through the integration of innovative technologies, installation of solar panels, and optimization of production cycles to save energy. An equally significant improvement has been made to water conservation in the production of our denim. While the industry standard requires 93 liters of water per unit, we have reduced our usage to just 13 liters per unit. By the end of 2024, we aim to further reduce this to 2 liters per unit. This goal will be achieved by recycling 95% of the water used in our denim production process.
Our Green Cross label symbolizes our commitment to sustainability, indicating that each garment is made from at least 50% responsible fibers, with a strong focus on achieving 80-100% responsible fibers. Our certifications include the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), the Global Recycled Standard, the Recycled 100 Class Standard, and the Organic 100 Content Standard, ensuring full traceability of all our denim fabrics.
