In the previous season, HARUNOBUMURATA was inspired by August Sander’s photography and attempted to highlight the joy of dressing by approaching the form of human beings living in society. In the new Spring Summer 2025 collection, we will take this exploration even further and pursue the essence while diving into Brancoon’s ideas.

The flowing forms backed by a wild and physical sensibility, the culture forms that are common to non-Western art such as African sculpture, and the sculptor’s ideas and learnings that respect materiality while suggesting simplified fetishism, and that reduce the form of the subject to its essence, are incorporated and the hidden meaning of the voice is brought to the surface through Harunobumurata SS25 / Spring Summer 2025 collection.

The approach to visualizing the invisible truth, focusing on still lines, begins with a dress with a shape and material that looks like it was taken from stone, and is expressed using bonding materials with a soft finish like woven bronze, and methods that fix a moment of the soft flow of the fabric in place.

Vivid colors and tones are used so that the pure form can gain freedom and independence in space, and the ruffled dress with a series of tribal yarn units around the neck evokes its permanence by taking on an abstract nature.

This series, which uses traditional techniques realized with the cooperation of the Nishimura Shoten workshop in Miyako, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, highlights the primitivism of the collection by capturing the beauty that changes over time in the fabric, with the fine details flying away. This unique technique captures the expression of the material that changes over time, and together with the performance of modernist Kirill Richter, transcends the boundaries of sight and hearing, adding a time element to Harunobumurata SS25 / Spring Summer 2025 collection.

Discover beauty through the wearer’s gestures and body movements that occur when wearing sculptural clothing. The composition of the SS25 collection gradually takes on a contemporary feel, as if speaking of the fundamental origins of elegance, allowing the wearer to discover their own inner differences. It responds to the luxury that HARUNOBUMURATA inspires.

The organic and the industrial, the smooth and the light. By combining opposing elements, such as weight and lightness, with equal effort, hope to capture the essence of eternal beauty and have that essence resonate in the everyday lives.
