Stone Island and New Balance Collaboration Launch Now. Stone Island and New Balance introduce an iconic update to a flimby-made icon: the made in UK 991v2 Ghost

September 9, 2024 – Stone Island and New Balance present the MADE in UK 991v2 Ghost, a new iconic take on the original 991, which set the standard for contemporary running shoe design. Drawing inspiration from Stone Island Ghost pieces, which are derived from the concept of camouflage, the latest collaborative design features the signature line’s monochromatic palette, presented in three colourways (green, beige and black) and use of premium materials.

The Stone Island MADE in UK 991v2 Ghost’s mesh upper is overlaid with smooth nubuck leather. Subtle details and branding elements including the ‘N’ logo, embroidered ‘NB’ and felt Stone Island Compass logo patch on the nylon tongue, and the translucent outsole also revealing the Stone Island Compass logo, are all tone-on-tone for a highly refined aesthetic.

From the everyday runways of trains, pubs, and terraces to the cutting-edge styles of clubs and high streets, New Balance and Stone Island have remained fixtures across decades of evolution in the UK’s style subcultures.
