Solid Homme FW25 / Fall Winter 2025 – 2026 at Paris Men’s Fashion Week entitled Solid Jazz Club
A loosened tie, the heightened sense of hedonism, the corporate wardrobe modi¬ed, displaced and re-introduced in the a erhours. For FW25 / Fall Winter 2025 – 2026, Solid Homme returns to the exploration of the uniform once more, placing the trans¬guration from conformity to insouciance at the heart of the collection.
Elements of formal attire make a gestural ode to Yuppie culture, whilst the ways in which they are worn inform the reinvention of his image, from composed to nonchalant, professional to personal. Rather than seeing him blend into his personae-de¬ning work surroundings, here, we observe him through shedding the symbolic layers of pretence, presenting us with a far more individualistic foundation of who he is when he leaves the office. Suggestions on what form that takes are sometimes whispered, at other times sharply de¬ned throughout. Still, the idea of the uniform is never fully disregarded; he remains part of the collective as it embraces attitudinal changes, influenced by new surroundings.
Moving from the office to a Jazz bar, the colour palette of the collection borrows from its setting – energetic, informal, gritty. Unpretentious silhouettes are rendered in fabrics that sit in counterpoint to the laid-back shapes. A satin coach jacket in a vibrant, vintage-inspired red, a silk cravat in deep burgundy, shirts covered in a vinyl record print. Then, velvet, tweed, and moleskin in shades of grey and brown, slashed with glimpses of pastels – like flickers of light – and royal blue, reiterating the act of unwinding formal dress.
A stone grey suit with a so yellow silk shirt, a velvet tracksuit with a crochet neck-tie, double-layered chenille cardigans with a beige cravat, a long peacoat, a denim co-ord, argyle socks mirroring brushed argyle knits, pleated pants with a chunky cardigan in multicolored yarn – styling motifs add to the aesthetic entirety of ‘Dress-Down Fridays’. Ease of manner is met with a new sense of self, while the hues of the collection waver from cool to rich. Routine is eschwed for impulse, modernity laced with a vintage feel.
We see the individuals converging in an electric space, devised for enjoyment and freedom, in which the clothes reveal an intimate facet to Solid Homme’s man. It is the joy of breaking with the norms of formality that the Solid Homme Fall Winter 2025 – 2026 / FW25 collection rediscovers, celebrating the classic, all whilst welcoming a new, relaxed identity.
