Tadashi Shoji debuted his FW25 collection during New York Fashion Week. The digital-only presentation was filmed using AI technology, enhancing the visual storytelling and capturing the essence of time in an innovative way. The presentation is now available for viewing online at http://www.tadashishoji.com.
“Embrace the tender nostalgia of moments past and the thrill of those yet to come.,” says Shoji’s show notes.
Tadashi Shoji Fall/Winter 2025 unfolds as a love letter to the passage of time. Each piece whispers a story inspired by a dance of hours, days, and eras, capturing the grace of life. The collection draws on the poetry of time, creating a seamless union of past, present, and future.
At the heart of the collection are fabrics that embody the romance of time’s journey. Satin-piped textured crepe echoes the graceful motion of ticking clocks and ancient sundials. Laser-cut motifs in textured crepe and velvet revive beloved motifs, breathing life into timeless patterns. Shutter pleats in textured crepe evoke the structured elegance of archival details, a testament to brand heritage. Fine embroidery on tulle captures the intricate mechanics of clocks, a ballet of gears and springs brought to life in thread. Paillette-embroidered tulle shimmers like sand cascading through an hourglass, while a luminous organza jacquard flows across the collection like stardust drifting through the moon phases of a celestial sky.
Photographer Tony Byrd from Undefeated Creative Studio lensed the collection, and videographer Steven Wetrich filmed the digital presentation. Styled by John Bonifacio, models Reda Pilybaite and Mariah McKenzie are photographed in a place in “Time” enhanced using AI.
