“My Fall Winter 2025 collection reflects a deeply emotional tribute to my childhood growing up in Odisha, India. The inspiration for this collection began with a pilgrimage—a sacred journey to three of India’s holiest sites. The intention of the journey—for me and my family to perform the traditional final rites for my late parents and brother. Throughout the journey, I was inadvertently immersed in all the layers of beauty and meaning these three pivotal people have played in my life—and work as a designer. The core people who not only shaped my upbringing but also imprinted upon me the values and sensibilities that have come to define my artistic vision. Bibhu Mohapatra FW25 collection carries the spirit of my family and particularly the women in my life—their stories, their grit, and the grace with which they lived their lives. The Bibhu Mohapatra Fall Winter 2025 collection embarks on a poetic journey, weaving emotions and memories through architectural silhouettes, voluminous outerwear, and intricate hand craftsmanship. It embodies the essence of powerful dressing, reimagining the traditional Indian woman with a modern, sophisticated vision.

Details of Bibhu Mohapatra FW25 / Fall Winter 2025, A bespoke palette of deep nude, ivory, plum, and rose gold unfolds across knitwear, tailored pants, oversized outerwear, and elegant evening and cocktail ensembles. The collection also introduces innovative textiles, including faux leather, custom-woven lace, and velvet embroidery, designed to echo the artistry of traditional rice paintings. Floral motifs play a central role, reflecting their deep cultural significance in Indian traditions. This theme is brought to life not only through the garments but also in the show’s setting—flowers adorned the backdrop and models’ hair, while guests were welcomed with delicate blooms. Jasmine, flown in from India, was placed on each seat, creating an immersive sensory experience that honored heritage with a contemporary touch.

The collection is further elevated by two exceptional collaborations. The first is with the renowned Indian jewelry brand Tanishq which is now in the USA, celebrated for its mastery of gold and precious stones since 1994. Mohapatra, who has long aspired to create a fine jewelry line, saw this collaboration as a natural prelude to that vision. For the show, Tanishq’s exquisitely crafted jewelry took center stage, bringing India’s legendary artistry to a global audience. This collaboration seamlessly fused heritage with contemporary elegance, transcending norms and borders. Tanishq’s modern interpretation of traditional craftsmanship finds a natural synergy with Bibhu’s vision, enhancing his collection with jewelry that echoes the grandeur of royal architecture, the poetry of floral motifs, the serenity of nature, and the profound power of emotions and love. Each piece came to life, thoughtfully curated to accentuate the core elements of Bibhu’s collection, making this collaboration a harmonious symphony of design, heritage, and storytelling.
